A Message from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. - Chairman on Leave

Scales of Justice alongside Computer

The shadow of tyranny, imposed in the name of Covid-19, has fallen on most places around the globe. South Africa, a land which not so long ago suffered under Apartheid, is no exception and risks being engulfed by this new form of authoritarianism.

Thanks to disastrous Covid-19 policies implemented by their government, and corporations profiting from these, South Africans have suffered badly. No dissent is allowed from the official Covid-19 narrative and many are too afraid to speak out. But a group of brave South Africans are fighting back. Children’s Health Defense (CHD) Africa was formed during this state of chaos and decline. It stands out for its unique approach to combatting Covid-19 oppression and medical apartheid.

Further gravitas is given to CHD Africa by its members; the board of CHD Africa includes lawyers, prominent doctors, a heart surgeon, political leaders, journalists, business experts and professional civil rights activists. Between them they have decades of experience in the field of health freedom and defending civil rights.

South Africa has arguably the most progressive constitution in the world. The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa is the supreme law of the land, and no other law or government action can supersede its provisions. The Constitution was written in 1996, after the country triumphantly dismantled the heinous Apartheid system. https://www.sabcnews.com/south-africa-commemorates-25-years-of-the-constitution/ Socio-economic, human and political rights are enshrined in this internationally acclaimed document. CHD Africa is on the front line, defending these rights from assaults through medical and technological mandates.

Its most successful action so far has been preventing the implementation of a Covid-19 vaccine mandate at the University of Cape Town (UCT). On 20 December 2021, UCT’s vice-chancellor stated on the university’s website that the university’s vaccine mandate was still in draft form, and requested consultation feedback from stakeholders. https://www.news.uct.ac.za/article/-2021-12-20-call-for-comment-on-draft-uct-vaccine-mandate-policy Despite this process finishing only on 31 January, students were misled into believing that they had to get the shot to be allowed on campus at the beginning of the academic year.

Lawyers acting for CHD Africa challenged this misconception on behalf of concerned parents and alumni, managing to get UCT to delay its original deadline for vaccine mandates to 1 April. https://childrenshealthdefense.co.za/call-to-action/call-to-action-over-universitys-human-rights-violation/ Currently, there is no official UCT vaccine mandate in place but should the university impose one, CHD Africa’s lawyers are ready to go to the Constitutional Court on behalf of students to defend them.

This is an unprecedented and unique achievement. How profound too that UCT is yet again the arena for a much needed stance against discrimination and persecution. In 1966, during the darkest days of Apartheid, Robert F Kennedy stood in Jameson Hall and gave strength and endurance to millions of South Africans through his ‘Ripples of Hope’ speech.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB_PgzkhcOs Citing that small acts of defiance could be transformative, his searing words brought the plight of black South Africans to the forefront of American political discourse. Robert F Kennedy Jr.’s organisation is now combatting authoritarian dictates, which directly violate the human rights enshrined in the Constitution, at the exact same institution; just like his father did.  A beacon of light, CHD Africa’s legal success at UCT could have a similar effect 56 years later.

But there are still students at risk of being forced to have vaccinations they don’t want or need at other South African universities. The University of the Free State has a vaccine mandate already in place, barring students from their constitutional right to an education. CHD Africa continues to monitor this travesty. https://www.sabcnews.com/university-of-free-state-students-protest-against-vaccine-mandate/ A healthy 24 year old student recently collapsed and died on campus, one month after receiving her booster shot. https://www.thesouthafrican.com/news/student-who-collapsed-and-died-on-bloem-campus-described-as-go-getter-breaking/?fbclid=IwAR3TK_irjl9Z43KuUcOcH1VmcakriDYXAhyQ2_GcBFQxGG1nTBdY7NoFSyY CHD Africa continues to monitor this travesty.

Vaccine mandates are not the only concern for CHD Africa. The 5G network rollouts in South Africa have accelerated over the past two years, with mobile phone giants expanding this into multiple towns and cities, making the fight back against this an urgent issue. https://mybroadband.co.za/news/5g/429708-mobile-networks-reveal-5g-plans-for-2022.html

The potentially harmful effects of 5G on humans and the environment are a possible violation of South Africa’s constitution, which states that everyone has a right to a protected environment that doesn’t harm their health or well-being. https://journals.co.za/doi/abs/10.10520/EJC53404 The constitution gives legal provision, based on this environmental protection, for anyone concerned about any potential harms arising from 5G. Lawyers for CHD Africa are currently seeking to apply the precautionary principle and challenge the implementation of 5G networks.

Despite the lack of evidence on the effectiveness of mask mandates in combatting Covid-19, the South African government has had this in place for two years. https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2022-01-18-mask-mandate-to-remain-in-place-department-of-health/ Children are forced to wear face masks at school throughout the day, and are only allowed to take these off for a few minutes every two hours. https://businesstech.co.za/news/government/555854/updated-lockdown-rules-for-schools-in-south-africa-including-in-school-vaccinations/

Scientific evidence shows that face masks can cause brain damage in children due to the lack of oxygen circulating to the brain, and can also disrupt the learning process. https://childrenshealthdefense.org/wp-content/uploads/Risks-associated-with-the-use-of-a-mouth-nose-cover-MNC-in-children-and-adolescents.pdf Tests show that these masks are generally contaminated with dangerous pathogens like streptococcus pneumonia (pneumonia) and mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis). https://rationalground.com/dangerous-pathogens-found-on-childrens-face-masks/

Mandatory face masks for children cause long-term psychological and physical damage, as well as being a potential risk to life. While many other countries have abolished compulsory mask wearing, the South African government is irrationally musing over whether it should include its own mask mandate in the National Health Act. https://www.gov.za/documents/national-health-act Should the government decide to do so, CHD Africa will be ready to challenge this.

Precious freedom, democracy and the rights enshrined in the South African Constitution are being dismantled through one piece of legislation after the other. A new policy being proposed by the government gives the State power to isolate Covid-19 patients against their will. https://dearsouthafrica.co.za/state-of-disaster/Magistrates will be able to order people into isolation and sanction taking samples from a person’s body without their permission. This is a diabolical transgression of the principles enshrined in the constitution. CHD Africa is monitoring the situation.

CHD Africa will continue to defend the health of children and university students, concentrating on vaccine mandates and mandatory masks. The wellbeing of all South African citizens is important to CHD Africa too. That is why it will continue to monitor the suspected health hazards of 5G, and the government’s possible violation of the constitution in allowing this network to expand throughout the country. Going forward, it will also highlight the issue of genetically modified food and bio fortified food. Another vital focus is that of the WHO’s impending Pandemic Treaty, which needs to be prevented from ever being established. https://childrenshealthdefense.co.za/news/who-pandemic-treaty-keep-africa-out-of-the-clutches-of-the-who/

South Africa became a global emblem of hope, showing how racism can be overcome and defeated. The country is once again a staging ground for those fighting oppression. CHD Africa is leading the charge:

‘Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.’

Robert F. Kennedy, Ripples of Hope speech.
